Cobia fishing 5-8-09

by john on May 8, 2009

Cobia fishing has begun in Beaufort. Got off to a good start around the new moon. Saw a lot of good fish on the surface around the moon. Conditions have been favorable for sight fishing and we have seen some great fish on the surface. Large baitfish patterns have been working well for me. Hopefully the full moon will bring some more fish into the river. Looking forward to the latter part of next week. Mild tides should make for some good sight fishing conditions. Below is a fish caught on Fly Rod last week.
