Charleston Fishing Report 1/16/2012

by john on January 16, 2012

Fishing has been as good as it gets since about New Years Eve. We have had some 20+ fish days with the fly rod and have been killing em on plastics and bait as well. The water has been super clear since the last cold snap and the fish are really schooled up, highly visible, and happy as well. We have been using mostly light EP type flies and clousers as well. As far as plastics go I like the DOA CALS in Black/Gold Belly, Morning Glory, and Golden Bream. Bait is always working well, I have been using different combinations depending on the situation of crab, mullet, and mud minnows. Here are some highlights from the first couple weeks of the new year. Check out our latest video on youtube at here.
