Great Redfish Fly

Patterned after the toad here is one of my favorites in pink and green.

Gamakatsu B10s 2#, White flat waxed nylon

Attach a pair of bead chain eyes and wind the thread back to the bend of the hook.

Attach a pair of rubber legs to each side of the hook.

Attach a small tuft of pink calf tail to the top of the hook.

Attach a piece of EP Sparkle brush chartreuse to the back of the hook and wind the thread forward to in front of the eyes.

Wind the sparkle brush forward and attach it just behind the eyes.

Take a piece of 30# flouro and fold it in half and attach it in front of the eyes so it sticks back slightly to the hook point. note: it can be easily shaped once it is tied in. Trim the ends so they are slightly longer than the hook gap.

Burn the ends to look like eyes. This will also double as your weed guard. Trim and finish with head cement.
